It was a day of joy and hope at Omolaiye Community Primary School, Agbede, Ikorodu, as over 600 pupils received back-to-school items from itel, Africa’s leading Tech Empowerment Brand. Through its Love Always On Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, and in partnership with the Ise Omoluabi Foundation, itel donated learning materials valued at over ₦4 million on Monday, October 15th, 2025.
The gifts, school bags, mathematical sets, pencils, pens and exercise books may look simple, but to these children, they mean the world. For many of them, these were items their parents could not easily afford.
Speaking at the outreach, Terngu Simeon Shagba, PR Supervisor of itel Mobile Nigeria, explained the heart behind the project:
“itel’s Love Always On is not just CSR — it’s about touching lives. Education is the foundation of a brighter future, and this is our way of giving children the tools they need to dream bigger. It also ties directly to the United Nation’s goal of ensuring quality education for every child”.
The headmistress, Mrs. Oyeneye Teniola Kehinde, could not hide her gratitude:
“Many of our pupils come from families struggling to provide even the basics. These donations will lift a huge burden off parents and give our children the confidence to focus on learning”.
This is not the first time itel has stepped into communities with love. Earlier this year, the brand provided a solar-powered borehole for a community in Kano battling water scarcity, and on Children’s Day, it partnered with NTA Channel 10 to donate school supplies to 51 schools across Lagos.
From water to education, itel continues to prove that it is more than just a mobile brand. It is a partner in nation-building, dedicated to ensuring that no child is left behind.
