In 2022, former Manchester United star player Paul Pogba had been kidnapped; this had sent shivers to his family members, team, and supporters as the kidnappers had demanded the whooping sum of €13,000,000 (thirteen million euros) to be paid as ransom.
This garnered a lot of reactions on social media and serious panic from the player’s family and diehard fans, as members of his family, most especially his brother, were seen sourcing for funds here and there, both on and off social media.
This generated a lot of sympathy from so many people, especially supporters and fans of Pogba and his club. With all hands being on deck, a lot of money was raised; however, the family couldn’t meet up with the required amount (€13,000,000 million). However, serious negotiations were done. According to Paul Pogba, it took him a lot of pleading before the alleged kidnappers finally agreed and he ended up paying them €100,000 (a hundred thousand euros) in ransom instead before he was released.
However, as soon as Pogba gained freedom, he informed the public via his social media handles that he had reported his kidnap case to the appropriate authorities and had asked that everyone around him should be duly investigated, as he suspected his kidnappers to be people who knew him personally and mutually.
In the Spark of Pogba’s resume and kidnap investigation, his elder brother Mathias Pogba was spotted accusing the ex-Manchester United player of using witchcraft on popular footballer Kylian Mbappe. This caused a lot of reactions.
Both on and off social media, as it even led to Paul Pogba being suspended from his country’s national team.
In recent discoveries that have caused a lot of buzz on social media, Paul Pogba’s elder brother, Mathias Pogba, was arrested alongside five others who happen to be Paul’s friends right from childhood. Mathias has received a jail term of five years and is to pay a fine of €20,000 (twenty thousand Euros), while his fellow accomplices have bagged eight years of imprisonment each.
